Giovedi' sera, a San Martino Buon Albergo, presso la fantastica Tenuta Musella, Sandro ha tenuto una serata monografica sullo Chenin Blanc e il suo territorio, la Loira (anche e soprattutto il Fiume).
Abbiamo assaggiato 6 vini. Tutti del 2005. Devo dire non "facili", anzi, fuori dai soliti schemi e espressioni alle quali hanno piegato i bianchi ultimamente.
Su 6, 4 erano bio e 2 biodinamici. Pochissima solforosa per cui viaggio di ritorno e "day after" in perfetta sintonia con l'universo :-)
In mezzo c'era anche la mitica Coulee de Serrant (del bio-arguto Joly), che assaggiai a Roma durante il suo seminario, piu' o meno 4 anni fa, in una versione vecchia di almeno 15 anni, e che mi impressiono' molto ma molto di piu' dell'altro giorno (forse anche perche' era "giovane" ).
Un grande Sandro, sempre sul pezzo e sempre piu' incazzato visto le recenti risultanze elettorali :-)
Ma nel 6° si sentiva anche il Coriandolo? O ero gia' cotto? :-)

An evening for Chenin
Thursday evening, in San Martino Buon Albergo, inside the Tenuta Musella, Sandro gave a single topic course on Chenin Blanc and its territory, the Loire (and especially its Fiume).
We tasted 6 wines, all 2005’s. I must say not “simple” better they were completely original and not in the usual Abbiamo assaggiato 6 vini. Tutti del 2005. Devo dire non "facili", anzi, fuori dai soliti schemi e espressioni alle quali hanno piegato i bianchi ultimamente.
Out of 6, 4 were organic and 2 biodynamic. Not very sulfurous so that my trip back and the “day after” was in perfect harmony with the world.
Amongst them Joly’s famous Coulee de Serrant which I had already tasted in Rome four years ago in a 15 year old version, which impressed me more than the other day (maybe because it was “younger”).
Sandro is great, always careful and even madder than usual because of the electoral results.
In the sixth, did you taste the coriander? Or was I already gone? :-)
